The balcony was large enough to accommodate a table and two chairs which was great for breakfast. The room was lovely with a huge bed, separate sitting area and a large, modern bathroom with separate water closet, rain head and regular head shower, separate vanities with vessel sinks and a whirlpool tub. We had booked an entry-level room at were given building 9 with a partial ocean view. Many thanks to Amy at Dream Makers Vacation Services for booking our vacation for us and for being a fabulous agent for us over the years. We love all inclusive vacations to tropical resorts and have been fortunate to take many over the years. We travelled to Secrets Akumal from Dallas in late May for a one week vacation. We got absolutely hosed one night to tulum going the valet way.ĭay trip to playa del Carmen was so much fun, we went to Coralina's. I recommend using their concierge not the valets to call the taxis, you'll save a lot more money and get better quality. The nightlife isn't quite here but they tell you that it's clearly a couples oriented resort and that's fine. I went with some friends for a bachelor party to be in closer proximity to Tulum. The first guy was so professional and helpful I thought he was the masseuse himself! The spa was tremendous, they have a guy who helps you with the lockers and sauna and then you meet your masseuse. I love how they integrate the nature into the resort it feels like it was carved out of the jungle. The beach is beautiful and love the beach chair setups they have. The food options are diverse and there's something for even the pickiest eater. The Mexican restaurant they have here is by far the best - El Patio. They have created a vibe here and it's so welcoming and beautiful at the same time. This resort nails the extra details you didn't know to ask or look for.
